Advanced Science Preparation
Promoting intellectual rigor, equitable access to challenge, and sustained engagement across diverse academic pathways.
Our curriculum is organized into three progressive levels (Levels 1–3) in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, with advancement based on demonstrated mastery rather than grade level. This mastery-based structure ensures that students are consistently challenged at an appropriate cognitive depth, allowing them to progress according to their understanding, curiosity, and problem-solving ability rather than age-based expectations. By decoupling progression from grade level, the framework promotes intellectual rigor, equitable access to challenge, and sustained engagement across diverse academic pathways.
Level 3 coursework is equivalent in rigor to Advanced Placement (AP) classes, preparing students for high-level academic expectations. Each course integrates structured lectures, targeted instructional videos to clarify complex concepts, and Cornell-style note outlines to support effective learning. Students engage in guided projects and utilize comprehensive study guides, with instruction grounded in NGSS-aligned materials. Learning is reinforced through assessments that emphasize both conceptual understanding and scientific reasoning.
Together, these three levels form a carefully scaffolded learning journey that builds depth, confidence, and analytical rigor over time.
